Lick Music Releases It’s First Tape

Our new record label Lick Music is about to release it’s first ever tape.

This release is Milk & Biscuits, who played in our shop last year. They’re already pretty well known, having played a BBC 6Music session for Marc Riley, toured with British Sea Power, and opened Glastonbury Festival on the BBC stage.

The two B sides are live tracks, recorded at Lick, and the A sides are new. You can read loads more about it on our Soundcloud page, where you can also listen to samples. Pre-order the tape here

Here’s what other people have said about it:

NME: This bunch sound as cute as you’d expect from their name, with twee, folky guitars interrupted only by feathery vocals and the occasional soft coo of a distant trumpet.

The Quietus: Perhaps this is the tender lethargic balladry Lou Barlow would’ve been making had he spent his time with the jolly staff of a frozen yoghurt shop instead of being bullied by J Mascis… A sunny sonic relief.

Drowned In Sound: …their EP is a genuinely spiriting affair. Bravo, Milk & Biscuits.
